Background Information:

Mouse Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (mLIF) promotes proliferation and maintains long-term pluripotency of mouse embryonic stem (mES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells by suppressing spontaneous differentiation.

Applications:

VISTECH® mLIF is supplied in liquid form as 10000× in 1.0 mL of phosphate buffered saline with 1% w/v bovine serum albumin BSA as a carrier for stability. Vistech mLIF is used as a reagent for the in vitro maintenance of the pluripotential phenotype of mouse ES cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. The working concentration is recommended at 0.1 μL mLIF per 1 mL culture medium. So each package of VF-LIF103U can make up 10 L culture medium of mES and iPS.

Storage at 4°C for long term

Don’t freeze-thawing

Stability for at least 18 months from the date of manufacture (in the concentrated form or diluted in sterile tissue culture media, with no loss of activity on ES cells)

Stability for at least 7 days at 37°C, 5% CO2 incubator during the culture of ES cells.
